How many year has it been since a photo like that could have been taken.

B17's were always meant to fly in formation. Doc looks fantastic in her polished skin.

Doc does look really nice, as does FiFi. But those are B-29s, not B-17s.

I can't wait for Collins Foundation to get a B29 so I can fly in it. I have done the B17, B24 and B25. It is a great experence.

Seems that these are the last B-29's flying as I recall given the tragic loss of a "refurbished" B-29 in Greenland a few years ago that caught fire while taxiing on the tundra. Is this correct?

Great picture. I crew on FiFi and was on her a couple weeks after the Oshkosh flight.

FIFI -is that "block-A " on the tail from the old 301st bomb wing stationed @ Barksdale La.??I believe it is --(I was there '52-54)
