I hear you, Bill. There are times, tho, when I do enjoy going after a difficult or challenging scene and when I manage to get something a bit odd or rare, I put those up even if they aren't the best result. My recent pic of a Cessna departing in a snowstorm is one. It sure isn't anyone's idea of a poster shot, but I am unable to find very many pics taken from the ground of aircraft actually in flight during a blizzard. (Truth be told, I haven't found any others yet, but I'm still searching.) Despite the blowing snow and gray environment, I managed to keep the swirling snow off the front of the lens and to get a clear focus on it as it ripped by thru the thick snow. I tried the same thing with an AA Mad Dog but the result wasn't as good. I put both of them in anyway, but not because I thought they were award-winners (chuckle), but only because hardly anyone else has tried it. But I agree with you 100%. I've got several pics posted here on FA that I would delete now (if I knew how to do it).
Keep snapping that shutter and sharing yours, Bill. When you post 'em, I enjoy viewing each of them. There are others who just post crap; those are the ones whose stuff I just ignore.

I'm not familiar with the name. When I check the gallery, there are some that I don't even pay any attention to because just seeing the T-Nail tells me my time is too valuable to waste viewing them when I could be using it (my time) to view the photos of serious photographers. So when I see a T-Nail that is obviously the effort of someone with a toy camera or no talent/experience, I just ignore the T-Nail. Maybe this person I've never heard of is one of those which would explain why I don't recognize the name. I look back on my first-ever photos and sometimes I cringe. (I've got two in my FA pics that I wish I could delete; both of those are embarrassingly poor.) And just yesterday I posted the wrong copy of a DC-3; I edited out a sunspot in it but then I accidentally uploaded the unedited copy. Nothing I can do about it; I wrote to FA requesting that it be deleted.
Anyway, there are certain photogs whose new posts I look for every day. Wonderful shots. You are one of those I watch for. Keep 'em coming, Bill.
