This C-47 appears to be N33VW. If so, it was built as a Douglas C-47A-90-DL Skytrain, USAAF s/n 43-15935, msn 20401. It was declared surplus in 1946 according to Joe Baugher's information. The aircraft went thru a succession of registrations and owners until 1998 when sold to Vintage Wings and Things of Carencro, Louisiana and registered as N33VW. It was sold to the Cavanaugh Flight Museum, Addison, Texas in 2009 and retains the FAA civil registration of N33VW. Cavanaugh F.M. repainted this aircraft in a "WWII D-Day" livery, with "invasion stripes"and applied "C8" markings on the forward fuselage.
