One of the best aircraft ever made, the Douglas DC-9 and all of the McDonnell Douglas model's are all classics. Wife and I flew a Northwest DC-9 shortly before Delta took them over that was built in the late 1960's that was as solid as it's first flight. I sure will hate to see them go, love to fly on them. The DC-3 and the DC-9 could fly for ever I think. They will be missed!
