I had a great photo session with photographer Robb Gesert in 2007 just above Troy airstrip in Missouri. He is one of the best.

You're right, the record for this airplane says it's a "Tri Pacer," but this pretty picture shows a conventional-gear "Pacer." Was this a conversion, then? Did the pilot talk about that with you? Sweet little plane.
Beautifulllll!!!! Thank you for sharing.
hal pushpak - Yes, it's a conversion... here's another photo of this beautiful Piper showing more info -

Our photo uploader is listed in the FAA registry as the aircraft owner, so that's his airplane... and no doubt, he's the guy who is flying it in the photo!!!

Frank Sperandeo - my very first airplane ride was in a Piper Tri-Pacer!
Yikes! The nose gear has fallen off. Could have been a conversion. I owned one of these and enjoyed it. It flew much like a C172. No floating down the runway with this thing. When you pulled the power it wanted to land right now. Great for short field.

Beautiful shot. Fun airplane to fly too!
