Have a question for all you old war bird buffs. During a bombing mission, and all are in formation, the order "bombs away" is givin. At that point of release, does the plane rise with less weight?

Saw the other flyable B-29, Fifi at TICO airshow a few years back. Amazing to see and touch these pieces of history......

What a beautiful plane! !
But my grandfather was saying
Seventy years ago, bombing made the city a sea of fire.
A lot of B29 flew to the sky.
And They were dyed red and sparkling
