I always enjoy your photos but I am curious as to why the US military sends so many aircraft through Shannon. Do they get a good deal on fuel there?

Maybe to do with fuel costs or landing/ground handling costs/lower security risks/But also it cuts the trans Atlantic distance by about 300NM compared with departing out of the London area airports. Range not an issue for C32a, but maybe for other types (such as C130) when pushing into strong headwinds, flying westbound to their homebases. Just my theory anyway!!!
