The second Hercules was also on the move, passing by on my left as this one went by on my right. This was a "first" for me: being in between two C-130s as they taxied out next to each other. Super noisy, super windy, and super cool!

Gary... that's the treat of a lifetime there!!!

I remember once standing behind a line of five (5) C-130E Hercules aircraft as they all taxied out to the active runway in single file. The sound of those Allison turboprop engines running, the prop wash, and added aroma of the JP-4 burning was quite intoxicating.

Thanks for sharing... *F*I*V*E* stars for this photo capture!!!

awesome pic, reminds me of back when I was in the USAF and at little rock AFB there would be 20-30 of them taxiing to take off at once....what a sight and sound, thanks for sharing

Cliff and Sam >> I've seen multi-ship Herc MITOS here, but never from a ringside position. Just being within touching distance of these two as they passed by on both sides was a rush so I can understand how being right next to many must have been a thrill. This was the second of four military base photo-shoot tours I've been invited to; the third is three days from now and the last one is still in "Maybe" status. TY for the complis and comments, guys.
