Have you ever walked away from the airport and forgot to log your flight and how long it was?
Pilot Partner now integrates with FlightAware through the FlightXML API to provide an opportunity to automatically create flight logbook entries from FlightAware flight tracks.
Pilot Partner also automatically attaches the FlightAware flight track image to your flight in your logbook.
This feature works best for ADS-B OUT equipped aircraft or for flights on an active IFR flight plan.
However, more and more VFR flights with Flight Following are becoming available on FlightAware through the “Position-Only Flights” option. This feature is a great tool for pilots who forget to log their flight, but want to reconstruct their logbook from home with no hassle, according to company officials.
To use the FlightAware integration, choose the Tail Number from your list of aircraft in Pilot Partner and then enable the “Subscribe to ADS-B/IFR Flights” option.
There is no charge to use this additional feature of Pilot Partner. It is included with the 60 day free trial and any paid subscriptions starting at $29.95 a year.
