A 10-passenger flight from Denver International Airport to Telluride lost use of its landing gear, tilted to the left and damaged a wing and propeller at Telluride Regional Airport on Sunday afternoon.

Great Lakes Aviation spokeswoman Monica Taylor-Lee said none of the crew or passengers, including some of the production team of the upcoming J.D. Salinger film, aboard Flight 7150 were injured.

She said the crew was able to deploy the gear manually in flight, but it did not hold as the plane was decelerating on the landing.

The San Miguel County Sheriff’s Office said the plane skidded on the runway as the Telluride Fire Department was waiting nearby.

Boulder lawyer Philip Rosmarin said he was one of the passengers. He said the pilot of the twin-engine Beechcraft 1900 did a remarkable job of landing safely.

Rosmarin said the pilot warned passengers about a problem with the landing gear under the left wing before the landing.

The sheriff’s department said the incident happened at 1:09 p.m. on Runway 27, which remained closed the rest of the afternoon for the investigation.

The investigation was turned over to the National Transportation Safety Board.
