Would a Bigger Airbus A350 Be a Boeing 777X Killer?

Submitted
After initially downplaying the idea, Airbus executives have started to seriously consider launching an even larger version of the new A350 widebody jet. This new model — tentatively named the A350-8000 (or perhaps the A350-1100) — would compete with the 777-9 that Boeing is currently developing. (www.aviationgossip.com) More...

I would be cautious about using the word 'Killer' should be used in the same sentence as Airbus. As we found out in SFO a while back, Airbus operators don't really need any stick and rudder skills which is a big positive for the third world, but I would much rather have an experienced aviator at the controls if I'm in the back.
