While international premium economy is not a new concept, several major airlines such as Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines recently either rolled out the cabin or have announced plans to do so. At its media day last week, newly appointed Chief Executive Office Ed Bastian announced that Delta Air Lines DAL +1.22% will enter the premium economy market in 2017. (skift.com) More...

It amazes me that changing the coach seat pitch back to 1970's dimensions could be called "premium" anything.

I think it is disingenuous of the airline to promote the product with models that can qualify to portray any of the munchkins in a Broadway production of The Wizard of Oz. I did notice the beverage did include a swizzle stick and wedge of lime. How can they make a profit offering that kind of service?
