Seems to me that in this story they talk about soundproofing and how good it works. I guess some folks are just born to gripe and see nothing of the hipocracy of buying a house next to an airport.

Yup. When DFW went in, it had cattle for neighbors. Now it has complaining homeowners. (But it was priced sooo right! LOL). Meanwhile, my mother-in-law lived off the take-off end of KSTL 24, and it drove me nuts when I was sleeping over and 24 was active. But then, I lived way out in the country at the time, with a 2-mile gravel road back into it.

I got an Aunt & Uncle living on South Side Chicago and underneath MDW. They have been there for years and used to it.

Yeah, my mother-in-law was like, "noise, what noise?"
