United to Rebank Hubs, Ax Smaller Regional Jets

Submitted

United Airlines said it will rebank flights at three of its hubs as part of its efforts to improve performance and profitability. That means that dozens of flights will all land within a short period of time and then take off within a similarly short time period. (www.frequentbusinesstraveler.com) More...

The rebanking is OK I guess if they can keep connecting planes fairly close together. To go from one end of a terminal to another, without even having a chance to breathe deep is a little tough. The reason they were all debanked a few years ago was to spread things out a little and help ATC as well as spread out their own people. I have not been back on AA since theirs started or heard how it's working. They started with Miami. IDK if they have hit any other hubs yet or not, or if the merger totally sidetracked it.
