For the "gee that makes sense" crowd, if memory serves me correctly, the 20 series Learjets with GE CJ610's had an oil pressure gauge as well as an oil pressure low light on the master caution panel, as do all modern jets. The difference from some of the other installations of the day was the Lear had a different transducer for each, so you had a redundant indication for oil pressure. Surely Boeing has a similar design for an airplane designed to overfly oceans on only two engines. ETOPS would logically require such, but I don't know for sure. Anybody?
