Neo vs. Max: Comparing engine noise

Submitted

We have been waiting for a while to see if there was anyway we could get a comparison of the A320neo with both engines and the 737 MAX compared for engine noise. The most objective way to do this is use videos from the first flight events. One has to also avoid OEM videos, some of which have music and other dubbing to prevent the real noise levels to be heard. (airinsight.com) More...

Unless all readings are taken by and live a certified instrument and a person who knows how to use it properly nothing in this post is relevant as the readings taken could be suspect.

Not to mention the T-33 that flew along :)

The regular 320 has always been quieter than the current 37's outside of the new 900's.
But from a passenger perspective, I prefer the 320 for comfort and will chose it over any 37 including the new 900's. I flew over 130 flights last year, and the 900's not only take as long as a 57 to load, they also can't fly to higher flight levels when fully loaded until they burn some fuel off.
