Every time I see words like 'insane' or the like in a headline, it gets ejected. Most modern-day journalists must think the general public, it's readers, are morons.

Actually, it seems the rush or need to print, these days is the imperative. Not what to print. The result of a 24/7 news cycle. And what is "loosely" referred to as a "journalist". Some of whom would fall in many a readers moron category.
