Getting to be a popular airfield again. Our group left there earlier in the afternoon to refuel the old bird (L188).

Glad they made it safe. On the other note, was the A333 powered by GE or PW?

It was an ex-Northwest Airlines Pratt powered unit

After what Boeing just did within the past few months, I've lost my respect for them!

Oh you mean when Boeing filed a complaint about a foreign manufacturer that received government assistance and then proceeded to price dump their product in the U.S.? Yeah. You're right.

They received a loan which has to be paid back as well as an investment into the unit and rail unit...and HTH does anyone know they price dumped other than the loudmouths over at Boeing and the Dept of Commerce?...NO figures were ever released yet...maybe other countries should start complaining about Boeing "dumping" and non pay back subsidies to the tune of almost $64 billion!!!...when folks start learning the difference between "investment", "loan" and "subsidy", maybe things would roll smoother!!

It was interesting to see the aerial view of Goose Air Base. Some changes after I was there with the 59th Fighter Interceptor Squadron in the mid-50s. It continues to be a life saver. If you were in the 59th, get in touch.

That's why I'm flying Alitalia next time. I don't want to go to Amsterdam again. What a disaster of an airport. Built for 1970s jets.

Totally agree, I would so much rather fly BANKRUPT ALITALIA.

No problem. How many times has United gone upside down, then of course there's Pan Am, Eastern, etc, etc.
