Agreed, it's a nice shot but some vets might disagree. Enemy aircraft flying in formation and all. Just saying. It was a long time ago now but those guys will never forget. Am I wrong? It's just that I heard a vet go off about the very same issue recently when he saw a similar photo in a book.

Yes, I was also struck by the enemy aircraft in formation thing. Perhaps becuase it is such a fine shot , this detail strikes you? They are brought together in this photo but what they both symbolise are entirely separate histories only connected by the savagery of aerial warfare. Its a bit like seeing German and British foot soldiers marching in the same parade.Something not quite right about it. Still, like a piece of fine art work, a good aviation image is one that provokes thought. Well done.
