Fantastico, non avevo ancora visto un aereo con le scarpe, magari dopo l'atterraggio si mette in piedi...!!!
Translated, the Italian comment below means
"Fantastic, I had not yet seen a plane with shoes, maybe after landing it stands up ... !!!
Does this remark make any sense to anyone.

Leon, don't believe everything Google Translate tells you :)
Leon, could it be that he thinks the tail looks like a pair of shoes?
Well if you didnt know anything about this particular aircraft type (or indeed much about aviation) then with the angle of this particular shot, you might believe the aircraft was a 'pusher' type with a canard. In which case the fins might well be considered as shoes?
Perhaps the "shoe" reference is for the ARN-7 loop antenna mounted on the belly. I've mostly seen them mounted on the top near the front.
I like John Watson's interpretation. Two feet (shoes... vertical stabilizers) standing upright when it's on the ground. Good job, John!
What a beautiful plane!
Who cares about Italian shoes.
Best ride I ever had B-25 Mitchell.
