Do they smoke all the tome or does it mean he’s in a bit of a hurry?

In the summer of 1968, at Highway 77 Airport just south of Dallas, Larry and I were standing beside our Cessna 140 talking to our girl friends. Without interrupting whatever(?) the girls were talking about, Larry glanced south at a black speck in the sky and muttered quietly to me, "Lockheed Electra." I nodded yes. My girlfriend glanced south and said, "What did you say? That's just a black speck in the sky!" Larry and I assured the women that the black speck was indeed a Lockheed Electra and, a minute or two later, as the 4-engine turboprop Braniff plane passed overhead leaving a trail of black smoke, Larry and I assured them that all black specks in the sky do not look alike.

It would be surprising if that airframe were delivered to the USN in 2016.

Love the Pic.
