Sam, I was away for an extended time and i find myself trying to "catch up" to view the posts (over the past half-month) of my fave FA members such as you, Mark S., Mark T., King F, Uwe, Mathias, Dwight, and also to check for any new members whose snaps are great. I haven't had enough time to really sit back and enjoy your many newest posts. I'll do it the day after tomorrow for certain. But I want to compliment you on this shot right now. I've just now seen it. Since I know that this is one of your very first "night time" snaps using your new camera, this is a 5+ shot! Since I'm very familiar with KBUF, I know where you were standing. It was in motion taxiing out and you caught it quite cleanly and crisply! Yes, the shot has noise, but that is an easy fix. I am excited to see all your new pics. And I tip my hat to you for getting out and doing some spotting in the evening hours. There are many spotters (I call them "fair-weather only" ... I have met two or three of them personally) who only go out when all the conditions are perfect; not too cold, not too hot, not cloudy, not raining, not at night, not at noon, etc., etc). Their "passion" for aviation photography runs from 8 AM to 10 AM and 3 PM to 6 PM on days when the temp ranges from 76 F to 84 F, and only when they don't have to walk farther than 15 feet from their wheels. lol You once commented that you are devoted to aviation photography, and I see you are totally serious. I'm planning a trip to NYC (RNO-JFK) in January ... getting a REAL sweet deal ... and if possible, I'll try to make it a RNO-JFK-BUF-JFK-RNO route instead. I'd really like to meet up with you.
