Many flights on these back in the day. Always enjoyed the DC-10 before NWA got the A-330's to replace them.

Baruch, what is the concern you are "sort of" raising?

Poor design led this aircraft to kill more passengers than any other ever certificated by the FAA. I rode in one once. I was so uncomfortable I never rode again.
RollsRoyce failure to complete RB211 kept the far superior L-1011 from market success. L-1011 disasters were pilot error or crew inability to control passenger behavior. What a shame.
