Super cool photo. I had to go look for RJEC and eventually found a summertime picture that includes that smoldering, presumably volcanic, steam up in the mountains in Japan. It would be helpful to know the lens and/or what after-effects may have been used on the photo. The uniformity of the mountains looks like it may be post production but I'm not an expert, just a fan of this site.

I question the photo location as Higashikagura, Asahikawa, Hokkaido.... I don't think one of the many active volcanos on Hokkaido are that close to Higashikagura.
