C-FTCC — - I was fortunate to be in North Bay Ontario for this stop over on a 50 city tour of Canada in 1986, to mark the 50th Anniversary of Air Canada. The aircraft was originally purchased by A/C predecessor Trans Canada Airlines in 1937 and operated til 1937, then handed to the Government of Canada for the war effort. It was found at a Texas airshow in 1983 and purchased once again by Air Canada. It is maintained by volunteers and retirees from Air Canada. During the 1986 tour of Canada, she was flown with a full crew including a stewardess and mechanic, all dressed in authentic 1937 uniforms. For A/C 80th anniversary, she once again embarked on a cross Canada tour. She is one of only 2 airworthy Lockheed 10-A's in the world. Note...site will not allow me to use correct registration, which should read CF-TCC.
