Casey, the 172nd's "gate sentry" at Thompson Field was once painted very much like the B-26 Invader in your photo.

Casey, it was overall black with a virtually identical red accent and trim markings. The aircraft has been relocated on the base, but remains close to the current main entrance. I recall hearing that was the paint scheme it wore in the Korean War.
