I'll always enjoy going to military air shows, but there is nothing better than being 30 feet away from the edge of the runway when Navy aircraft are launching to begin (or landing after finishing) a training exercise. The largest exercise launch I was ever present for was two summers ago when 43 aircraft taxied out and departed. And then there was time to relax for awhile until they all came back. No military airshow I've ever been to was better than that.
Very cool, Gary!
Dramatic shot Gary! Well done!
Like being there but without the AB trying to rip your eardrums out.
Gary.........
Stellar Photo.....
I got to enjoy Marine F-35's 3 weeks ago at Wisconsin's Volk Field during the Northern Lightning 2 Exercise - primarily F-16's.
Absolutely love this photo. Almost like you are in the lead aircraft.

Great timing in using the jet blast to blur the wingman and thus highlight the leader!
Great shot of a great looking plane!
Great shot - we all envy you!
This aeroplane suffers from a serious case of bland mediocracy, its boring bland, all nations aircraft are the same except for national markings. Seen one seen them all, would not go out of my way to seen them.
Peter Watson, most military aircraft have "bland" paint schemes for a good reason, which is not worth explaining to you. If these AC were painted like Frontier or Alaskan airlines would you make a more complimentary comment? "All nations aircraft are the same except for markings" is a breathtakingly ignorant statement.
