The impending arrival was publicized and a reported crowd, if I recall correctly, of about 10,000 turned out to see it. It arrived empty to pick up a shipment later and once safely parked, it was opened to the public for viewing.

Thanks Gary. The re-reg's of course would have been because the Ukraine got out of Russian control and got their own reg system along with a lot of their own planes. From your info, this was one of the latter. I note there are numerous photos on this, and other websites, with the post-Aeroflot liveries. Several pics are from Adelaide, but so far, I haven't got it in the later livery.

Around the same time frame saw an AN-124 put on a flight demo at EAA Oshkosh that was a real crowd pleaser.

Ken... Thanks for the compliment. I assume with the display at Oshkosh, they did things with it that shouldn't normally happen, and as with all large aircraft doing what they normally shouldn't do, it's always a spectacular sight. Stay safe.
