Lovely A-4 Skyhawk
I remember those days with the Blue Angel A-4's. Those little things really screamed around and put on a great show!

Brings back great memories. I worked at Douglas on the mods to convert the A-4s to Blues configuration. Also visited El Centro to explain why the #1 solo aircraft ruptured the integral wing tanks due to high roll rate with full wing fuel. Suggested that they do the high roll maneuver after burning of most of the fuel.

It doesn't seem that long ago when they switched from A-4's; graceful little plane. A huge difference from the F4 Phantoms a few years earlier.

Looks like a starter plane compared the one behind it. But it's a sports car made to zip around and in and out of situations. It's almost all engine. Awesome!
