Can someone tell me what the function of the air scoop that's under the fuselage?

@Colin Seftel: Yes, there was the pilot and I believe someone that purchased a ride.
David Seider
Vaughn Blue Jr - The air scoop on the belly of the P-51 is the intake for the water and oil radiators. The design of the scoop was very effective in cutting overall drag; in fact, the scoop and ejector gave the P-51 a bit of additional thrust!
