Star Alliance is an air line?
I thought it was a global alliance of airlines to share baggage; ticketing and the like.

Marylou, a search of the tail number of the aircraft in question, JA711A, shows that the aircraft flies for All Nippon Airways (ANA). Star Alliance must be the livery, I presume.

It's the livery.

Marylou - all members of the Star Alliance have, by agreement with the alliance, a number of their aircraft painted in that livery. Elsewhere on the frame you will find the name of the carrier.
