I spent many hours inspecting the fatigue test aircraft X998 and X999 after structural testing back in the mid to late 60's I am amazed that this 50 plus year old aircraft is still flying B models anyway, it must be held together with a lot of glue and metal fasteners
Graceful C-5 takeoff. Sweet!
There is something magnetic about the combination of grace (Great word Michael) and power in this pic. I can't stop looking. C-5 and B-52 are amazing examples of what happens when you focus on the platform first during development.
