Not too sure about departing, unless the pilot decided to stand on the brakes during rotation...that sure looks like tire smoke from a landing to me. But it is a great photo of Air Force 2.

I think it is takeoff with runway mist. I doubt a landing would put the tail so close to runway. But just a thought.

well guys, i took the photo so i should know if it was a departing shot or not.maybe if you looked at the landing shot that i took of it 98-0002 on the same day,something might click.runway was damp by the way.

Too close for comfort, one more degree AoA and the crew had a lot of explaining to do specially if this runway is 10,500 ft long and these aircrat never ever load up to MTOW.
