Douglas DC-9-10 (N784TW)

This 52 year old workhorse rotates right in front of me for the hour and a half flight to Greenville–Spartanburg International Airport. Quite an experience!

I got a ride up front in one once when I happened to be the only passenger on a scheduled flight. Neat experience. Climb out @ 6,000 fpm.
Nice. Our C-9B (DC-9-30) would rotate to 15 degrees nose up after takeoff. 20 for the MD-80.

My 1st jet ride in 1970 was on a DC-9. Quite a thrill.
