Thanx, Greg. I've been curious about the history of this particular aircraft. It made several appearances here displaying this reg number and in this AJT livery a couple of summers ago, but when I run a check of the reg number N315AA there does not seem to be any record of it flying for AJT, and the vast majority of pics show it in ABX clothes. I'm sure I'll discover the actual story as I dig deeper, but for the time being it appears that I made a somewhat rare catch of it back in 2014.

And PS >> Another of my movie segments is now on You Tube. About two minutes long. Taken at Newark in 1967. Brief glimpses of a United Caravelle, TWA 727, Eastern DC-9, Braniff 707, and three or four Mohawk fleetbirds.

Nice shot Gary!

I was able to watch the first video on Youtube last night and I thought it was just amazing... thanks for posting it. I will go take a look in a bit at the new one from your above comment.

Hi, Mark. The second old aircraft movie was just posted last night. Same low quality as my Delta Convair 880 clip but good enough to view. And Chris (the guy who is doing the salvage work on them) is working on more segments. I'm not sure how much of the KBUF segment he will post, but in that upcoming segment there is a shot of Jack Kemp walking towards me in the terminal. At the time, he was the quarterback of the Buffalo Bills, but prior to then he had been the QB of the San Diego Chargers. Of course, all of this was way before your time (big chuckle and a smile). In my movie segment, Kemp and others of the team are boarding a chartered United Airlines DC-6 for a trip to an "away" game. I'll let you know when it goes up on YT.
beautiful photo, Gary !

thumbs up -

Strange situation with this aircraft. There are only two pictures on the web that show this a/c displaying reg N315AA in AJT paint. One of those pics was taken a few days before I took this one; the other pic is THIS one. Yet, there are photos of it that were taken not too long BEFORE those two pics and then again shortly AFTER those two pics that show it in ABX livery. Was it painted out of ABX garb sometime in early 2014 and then painted back INTO that livery after I caught this shot? That seems extremely unlikely. Or was this reg number painted on erroneously meaning that for a brief time there were two B762s, this one AND one dressed in ABX livery, both showing this reg number? There is no record anywhere that N315AA was ever part of the AJT fleet. ???
