Collins Aerospace and Metron Aviation to combine forces and modernize global Air Traffic Management (ATM)

MADRID (June 21, 2022) – Building on years of collaboration, Collins Aerospace and Metron Aviation have agreed on a strategic relationship to integrate their proven capabilities in digital aviation solutions in order to develop and deploy Traffic Flow Management (TFM) products and services for Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) around the world.  

This alliance will leverage each company’s expertise in aviation-dedicated network systems, Air/Ground communications, flight planning and route optimization, predictive flight tracking, weather products and traffic flow modeling to accelerate the development of demonstratable next generation Air Traffic Management (ATM) solutions. Together, Collins and Metron are well positioned to help global ANSPs safely and efficiently increase airspace capacity.

Together, Collins and Metron will continue to collaborate on next generation Traffic Flow Management solutions and services. Both companies are investing in new capabilities such as secure, cloud-based, and adaptable ATM systems to improve the performance of global air transportation.
