Not sure how I feel about reviving the brands of airline legends like PanAm, TWA, Eastern, and Braniff.

They've already existed. Let their memories carry on without any new airline borrowing the name. New ventures are unlikely to duplicate the storied history.

They should start with their own brand, and create their own identity. I can't see any benefit to being compared to some nostalgic memory of the 'good old days'.

I can remember in the early 80's when Braniff tried to revive itself. It was ugly. You are very correct. Let 'em go with something new and make their own memories.

I agree, let the good memories live.. I preferred TWA on the NY to Florida runs on L-1011s.. better than Eastern.. Did CO buy the airline ?

Eastern disintegrated and ceased operations. Some parts of it made their way into CO, through Texas Air.

Please. No! I remember their L1011's when the Cpt gave an inflight announcement shortly after wheels up. It was an awesome service. Like Photo said. Try something else.

They used to trade their L-10s back and forth with Air Canada so you would see a red and white "Eastern" or blue and white "Air Canada" aircraft depending on the season. Air Canada ran them up and down the east coast to Florida in the winter.
