Landing gear problem ?

ssso linbb thinks Airbus is getting special treatment fro the EU, perhaps he should look at the billions that Boeing get paid by the U S Govt in aid also, this is not unusual, many Govt''s do it to support companies that employ thousands of people. Perhaps he should be more concerned if he uses Google or Apple products to name just 2 companies who do not pay tax in most countries they operate from, Billions of revenue that these countries could use for the betterment of those countries. Both Airbus and Boeing produce amazing products as do many other aerospace manufacturers around the world. Perhaps he should also look at the very diverse range of products that Airbus produce or research to improve the world.

Why did the UK sell its original stake in Airbus ?
comet00
Because the British Govt think Airbus does require input from them. But the real answer probably is UK governments have made some tragically poor comments in Aviation over the years, the TSR2 for one, perhaps the Blackburn Beverley. The Concorde was one brightlight and although the French managed to loose bags of money with it to British Airways it became a cash cow.
