Scorpion falls from overhead bin on United flight and stings passenger

After spending two weeks on vacation in Mexico, Richard and Linda Bell were on a United Airlines flight home from Houston to Calgary on Sunday. They thought their adventure was over — until a scorpion fell from the overhead compartment and on to Richard. They didn’t immediately recognize the honey-colored, 1.5-inch animal until a passenger sitting next to them pointed out that it was probably a scorpion. That fellow was lucky that thing wasn't more poisonous than it was, or that he was no apparently allergic to it.I wonder, didn't he realize what it was in the first place? You just don't pick up a scorpion.

Got stung by one during the First Gulf war...hurts, swells but nothing major they give you a shot and some pills and it takes about a week to go away.

YIKES! SCORPIONS LIKE DARK AND FAIRLY DRY PLCES, SO THE "CRITTER" HAD TO BE SOMEONES CARYY ON LUGGAGE..TSA DOES NOT CHECK FOR THAT!!
