Airbus, Boeing bullish on new globe-spanning jets for Qantas

I think in reality no long range twin jet liner has made the non stop flight from EGLL TO YPPH or being tested. Qantas tried this with a Boeing 747-438 and it could only reach to WSSS. The A388 only got as far as Dubai couldn't get to Australia. Only PAN AM did this with the 747sp 21 jet back in them days. So how will they accomplish this using twin jetliners?.

I doubt this could be done unless they figure out a way to install some new fuel tanks.
