Dash 8-400 Suffers Stiff Controls Whilst Landing In Montreal

Submitted

A WestJet Encore operated Dash 8-400 had to declare an emergency on approach to Montreal as the controls had become unmanageably stiff. The flight crew disconnected the shared flight controls and found that the stiffness was only on the co-pilot’s side. As such, the crew managed to land the aircraft safely and all 21 passengers deboarded without injury. (simpleflying.com) More...

Just because Prince Harry was on board, the flight should be no more (or less) important that whether I or any other passenger was on board.

Uh, no he wasn't. Just a "bait" part of the article to say 'arry has flown on a Q400 like the rest of us. He flew YVR to YYJ.
