World Bank orders Argentina to pay $320 million for seizing a Spanish airline

The World Bank's arbitration tribunal has ordered Argentina to pay $320 million plus interest and legal fees to Spanish travel group Marsans for expropriating its airline Aerolineas Argentinas SA in 2008, a local newspaper reported on Saturday. (www.yahoo.com) More...

None should hold their breath waiting for that to get paid The only hope of collecting any amount would require seizure of assets in a venue prepared to respect the judgment. Looking at their list of international destinations, there are few that would likely enforce the decision.

And Argentina is gonna pay how? Pretty hard to get blood out of a turnip.
