Court orders Guptas' jet to be grounded
A South African court ruled on Monday that a Bombadier Global 6000 aircraft ZS-OAK, which the Gupta family was leasing, must be handed over to the applicants and stored at Lanseria Airport in Johannesburg. The court also interdicted the family and its companies from using the aircraft. (www.news24.com) More...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
Grounding or repossession?
The problem here is YOU GOTTA FIND IT FIRST as in the plane. Can’t ground a ghost
It seems to me that airspace is public, and any persons operating in the public space should be registered and tracked. The public has a right to know who is using their property. Exclusions for government and military operations need to be allowed, as well as demonstrated need by other aircraft operators.
It should be easy for lessors to recover their property if terms of the lease are not followed.
