American Airlines has activated its disaster response giving platform following the devastating weather which has impacted millions in the United States. American is a long-standing partner of the Red Cross and donates at least $1 million annually. The airline is among 20 or so large businesses that regularly donate to causes such as these. Wow so they give away money and ask us TAX PAYERS to give them money to operate on. Yup Dan you got it figured out all that Fed money doesnt come out of our pockets so its ok to just give away. You will fit right into the new policy and the newest bail out money.

So first of all, the point of me sharing the news here is to inform, not necessarily to declare agreement with. Second, I see your point, however from the other point of view, it can be argued that the donations are voluntary and that the money that is donated is used to help restructure cities that were affected by the hurricane, ultimately hastening the revitalization of the economy in those places. So it is not only a win for the people of those cities, but also for Americans as a whole because they benefit from the strengthening economy, especially with it already weakened due to the implications of the pandemic.
