The 'writing was on the wall' for this fellow (Ben Padilla) wasn't it? Just how much nefarious activity do you need to quit? Angola? Congo? Broken aircraft deal in those places? Man . . why didn't he just march through Tehran dressed as an orthodox Jew?

If we don't get some leadership in DC to really fix this economy, there will be a lot more of us wishing our airplanes would "disappear".

I have always wondered what happened to the Fairchild Hiller FH-227B that was being delivered to Southwest Airways/Suidwes Lugdiens as ZS-JOZ serial number 563. Due to a fuel shortage it had to land in Luanda, Angola and it was impounded by the Angolan Govt...The crew was detained but then let go... The plane reportedly was taken over and operated by the Govt with a Military number of T-40....However it has never been seen since, nor has it ever been reported as scrapped.....I would love to know what happened to it mainly because I have a website dedicated to the FH-227.....
