If Boeing is making such a monster investment on just a "wing factory" for the 777X one can only imagine two things: the investment for the manufacturing the fuselage, tail section, etc. should cost just about the same although they must have been built already but an investment is an investment, and the second thought that comes to mind is that Boeing is placing its bets now on the ///x as its enthusiasm over the 787 Dreamliner is fading.
