Scientists say a change in Cruise Alt can reduce climate impact by 59%

Take it as you will - researchers at MIT say that negative effects from contrails ( not tin hat kind lol ) account for 14% of emissions per ton, and so if Cruise Alt was changed to avoid contrail production we could shave over 50% of the negative climate effects of aviation. Has to do with contrails providing a block in sunlight, delaying co2 absorption and cooling sunlight headed for earth.. give it a read - perhaps a lil reaching but here she be none the less.. Wait a minute! Contrails can have a cooling effect? I thought that is what the global warming nuts wanted. More contrails could possibly give us a few more years to live before the oceans swallow us all. I'm sure some of my tax dollars went to this malarky somehow and it's just idiocy on so many levels. Just let planes fly at their most fuel efficient altitude for the route and you have mitigated carbon emissions as much as possible until the world does end in a few hundred thousand years.

Next they will suggest flights only during the darkest hours of “night”!

Just think it could lead to less of them, but if it means lower altitude it would increase fuel burn noise on the ground problems with separation in some areas. Wow what a deal is this the same outfit that's trying to get driverless cars on the road too? Wow what an outfit.
