Poor Jim Moore. I think he forgot about the FIRST AMENDMENT to the Constitution for the United States Of America - the SUPREME LAW OF THE LAND - which is the STANDARD against which ALL other laws, statutes, codes, must be in adherence of. Jim has also, apparently, forgotten about the FOURTH AMENDMENT. Let's go back to FREEDOM OF FLIGHT and get our HEADS OFF THE GLASS and OUTSIDE under the old tried and true FAA STANDARD: SEE AND AVOID!

Welcome to the Surveillance State! Whatever happened to flying autonomously? They called it "FREEDOM OF FLIGHT!" Do you even remember? How will you know when Communism arrives?

The search and rescue aspects are positive, for sure, but this also facilitates automated fee collection at unattended airports.

I didn't know there was a fee for use of unattended airports or airspace in the USA.

Some unattended airports are now subscribing to a service which automatically sends out bills to the aircraft "owner of record". Sometimes these fees are published, sometimes they are a surprise. It is just one more nail in the coffin of general aviation.

Where are these airports? (which states) I am sure we don't have any in MN, YET.
