Jeppesen Evaluates The 4th Generation Tablet, New iPad Mini Rapid decompression tests of a new iPad (4th generation) with Retina display and iPad mini have been successfully completed by Jeppesen, proving device integrity in the unlikely event of sudden cabin pressure loss. The successful tests were completed to an altitude of 51,000 feet and are part of the program used by operators to obtain FAA authorization for in-flight use of Jeppesen’s mobile app solutions on iPad.
