Horse hockey! Once again the food editor strikes a blow for the low information voter. Half of the list could be omitted and we would still be flying today, albeit at a reduced capability. He missed the part where Glenn Curtiss and the aileron might have had an impact, let alone the swept wing. And if the fly by wire system ushered in the two pilot cockpit, then I guess we never had airline management and unions or was I asleep back then.
Don"t remember any fly by wire DC-9s. And if there is that fine a line between flyin and dyin, why do so many people get on those darn contraptions?
